Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt prepared to share openly about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has passed that I can at last put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced spending more time together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the film, remarking that he cannot recall "one day without laughter".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a distinct essay, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to block the publication of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A judicial mandate put a security hold on the files to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" connected to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a record listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

In the wake of the deaths, public individuals expressed varying comments.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering divisive statements that were met with immediate backlash by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the those speaking out recently. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan characterized the remarks as "disturbing" and implied they revealed a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by proposing that an associate ought to have intervened when the decision to comment on the passing was made.
