'Trapped in a Dreadful Dream': Loved Ones of Unaccounted For Teens Desperately Seek News After Ski Resort Blaze

The families of teenagers lost after a deadly inferno at a venue in a Switzerland's ski resort are confronting an agonising period of uncertainty for answers and requesting information about their loved ones online.

The blaze engulfed the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Confirmed images depict the ceiling igniting as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Officials have indicated that it could take an extended period to formally name the those who perished of the disaster, which killed 40 people and wounded another 119. Authorities stated on the latest update that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts still underway to locate the final individuals.

In the meantime, relatives have been taking to social media to appeal for clues about their loved ones who were present at the venue that evening.

Desperate Searches for the Missing
